Food Waste beyond your Fridge, WWF Schweiz, Donnerstag, 31. Januar 2019

Did you know that a third of all edible food in Switzerland goes to waste? This adds up to approximately  2.5 billion kilograms of wasted food per year.*
Waste occurs at various different stages of the food journey from field to plate. So where in the supply chain should we focus on to have the greatest impact on reducing food waste? And what can we do together in Switzerland to make a difference? 
This year's GreenBuzz New Years Apéro will focus on the theme of food waste. Tackling food waste is critical in addressing UN SDG #2: to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture. We will hear from players from different parts of the food supply chain to understand what is being done and where the big opportunities lie. 
Let's start the new year together with a Buzz, actively working as a community to tackle this important sustainability issue.
